All animals have had their DNA taken to determine genomic enhanced EPD’s and parent verification. Genomic Enhanced EPD’s have higher prediction accuracies and characterize genetics for traits where it’s difficult to measure by phenotype. Expected progeny differences are predictions of the genetic transmitting ability of a parent to its offspring and are used to make selection decisions for traits desired in your herd.

pennridge ranch horses – Cutting Horses for Sale

Cutting is a sport that began on ranches by cowhands who valued the cutting horse as an indispensable ranch hand who could separate and move cattle efficiently and effectively.

To excel in cutting, the horse must have speed, strength and "cow sense.”  The accelerated stopping and turning require natural ability through uncompromising confirmation.

Pennridge Ranch horses are bred to have a strong "cow sense" and confirmation. Our performance horses excel in the ring and participate in both local and national NCHA cutting horse competitions.

Our breeding program consists of brood mares who have retired from the show ring and are bred to leading Cutting Horse stallions.  Our foals have superior pedigrees and will be ready to work for you either in the show ring or on the ranch.

Each of our foals are worked daily.  They are halter broken and can stand tied in a stall as well as load in a trailer.

While we sell our yearling foals at the NCHA Futurity Sales in Fort Worth, we also sell Private Treaty.  We generally retain a couple each year for training to become performance horses in the show ring and ultimately we use them at the ranch to move and separate our cattle.
